faith

i have faith in the beauty and magic of human interconnectedness. the transformative power of relationship as path. the mirror you look into when you stand emotionally naked in front of someone you love. the pain you feel when that person breaks your heart, and the strength you realize you've always had when you give yourself permission to let go.

i can't really prove that all this exists, but i have had small glimpses of it in my own experience and can attest to its value. perhaps i'm an idealist or a romantic, but the faith is so strong that i'll keep trying to catch even minute glimpses of it in as many different relationships i can - with people at school, with customers at whole foods, with you, with homeless people on the street...
